You must design for different Player Types (Bartle Archetypes):

Explorers: Want discovery, hidden lore, and glitches.
Socializers: Want connection, teamwork, and chatting.
Killers: Want dominance, competition, and disruption.
Takeaway: A successful multi-layer game provides systems that satisfy all these motivations simultaneously. The social dynamic of your game emerges from how these types interact.
