Gabriel McIntyre has been teaching Interactive Performance, New Media and Game Design for over a decade. His talk provides a playful exploration into the science behind game design. This session is for everyone who wants to learn some of the basics of Game Design and Gamification in order to apply these skills to education, crowd sourcing research or increased engagement in marketing.
Recently I was honored to be a speaker at USI in Paris France. It was being held underneath the Louvre in all it's splendor. Imagine my surprise when I saw that I would be speaking in the "Gabriel Room". The list of past speakers was impressive. Not a lot of pressure to perform then, right? After lots of deliberation I decided that this was a great venue to spread a game I designed to get paid faster. The word entrepreneur is French, and the crisis in Greece and the EU seemed to be a buzzing topic. So I decided to show how a game could help struggling economies, by starting with decreasing payment times.
If you want to learn how to get paid faster by your clients and make a difference for NGO's, watch this talk. It shows how I decreased payment delays by over 75%, and helped orphans at the same time.
